This is our WC-Sport Exhaust system for the 991.1-gen Porsche 911 Carrera. It is engineered to offer a more efficient flow of the exhaust gases while offering an unforgettable exhaust note. The stock exhaust system is pretty constricted and so this system helps to bring the flat six to life. The result in an unforgettably raw sound and a smoother power curve.
This system is made by GMG right here in Southern California. It is TIG-welded from US-made T-304 stainless steel tubing. The system features a number of GMG engineering hall-marks including two inline custom-fabricated mufflers and a crossover X-pipe.
The crossover X-pipe works by balancing the exhaust pulses from both banks of cylinders. It allows the exhaust gases to flow down the path of least resistance while speeding up exhaust velocity. At lower revs, turbulence is formed as exhaust gases try to shuffle past a second column of gases coming from the other side. The X-Pipe merges the exhaust into two uniform streams, allowing a smooth flow from engine to exhaust exit.
