Those twenty pounds come out of the worst place a 911 can carry them, high in the cabin and well above the center of gravity, where they lean on the car through every change of direction, and taking them out cost the bar nothing in rigidity. The tubing is seamless Grade 9 titanium, the aerospace-grade Ti-3Al-2.5V alloy, and it doesn't corrode, which matters more than it sounds on a part that is going to sit behind your head for as long as you own the car.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike everything else we make, it came out of racing, thousands of hours of it, and it was sorted on The Thermal Club circuit a few steps from our shop door. We 3D-scanned the cabin before we drew a single tube, so the bar lands on the factory belt mounting points and follows the lines of the OEM interior trim without asking you to cut either, and every one is precision bent, hand TIG-welded and test-fitted by our own fabricators here in Southern California.
