GMG Racing is proud to offer the GMG GT Ultra High-Flow Catalytic Converters for the McLaren MP4-12C supercar. The GMG GT ultra high flow cats is as a direct high performance replacement for the restrictive OEM catalytic converters.

The GMG upgraded replacement allows for a quicker turbo spool while increasing horsepower and torque throughout the power band. On a stock McLaren MP4-12, the catalytic converters are very restrictive by design. Using (4) catalytic converters total, there are (2) per exhaust bank; on each exhaust bank, there is a primary 600 cell and a secondary 700 cell catalytic converter. To increase power and flow, the GMG design eliminates the secondary cats entirely and uses only (2) primary German made high flow 200 cell catalytic converters developed specifically for the McLaren MP4-12C vehicle.

The system is constructed of Type 304 aerospace grade stainless steel mandrel bent tubing that is meticulously TIG welded to AWM aerospace specifications by our skilled craftsmen. Isolated vibrations from the engine, decreased stress on the exhaust system, and prevention of premature cracking of the manifold and downpipes is achieved through the use of GMG proprietary T304 stainless steel bellow style flex pipe.

The high-flow catalytic converter/downpipe is a complete drop-in upgrade. Using CNC machined flanges to prevent warping and expansion, factory exhaust hanger locations, and the system will bolt up to any stock/stock-fit turbo and stock/stock-fit exhaust. To ensure proper functioning and no CEL, 2 oxygen sensor bungs are placed at the proper locations.
